It is also recommended that you use their aftercare products for makeup removal and cleaning the eye area to help maintain the life of the lashes. Avoid getting the lash area wet for 48 hrs so that the adhesive could fully cure and avoid extreme heat. Other requirements were to arrive with no makeup and to avoid using any heavy creams or moisturizers or drinking any caffeine. Photo credited belongs to my lash stylist a contact lens wearer I was required to arrive for application without my contacts in and couldn’t wear them at all the entire day (this meant dragging out the dreaded glasses I hate to wear in public lol) but luckily I was able to wear them the next day to drive back home to Georgia after TMS wrapped up. The process was completely painless and very comfortable – with exception of being on display for everyone to see on the TMS floor lol. This is a great thing if you’re going for a completely natural look of course. My application gave my eyes more of a “I don’t need mascara” look which made makeup applications a step easier, but a lot of people weren’t aware that I even had extensions done. I opted to go for a little more volume versus length since I am generally happy with my length, but in the future I think I would opt for a more dramatic application.

My application took a little over 2 hours for a full set. The results can last indefinitely if maintained, but in general lasts about 4 to 6 weeks. Lash extensions, particularly Xtreme Lashes, are applied one lash at a time to each individual lash natural lash by a trained stylist to give your lashes a natural fullness and length that is semi-permanent. You can’t pick these up in your local drug store or at a dept store and apply them on your own with just a little lash glue. For those of you that aren’t familiar with what lash extensions are, they aren’t your traditional strip false lash (or single lash “cluster”) products that you may be accustomed to.
